Open thou mine eyes,
that I may behold wondrous
things out of thy law.

About Our School
In 1996, several members of New Life Baptist Church went to Dr. Gene Ware and discussed starting a Bible study where they could dive deeper into the Word than a Wednesday night service could allow. It would be a study group where they could ask questions and get answers that would help them to understand the Word better.
Dr. Ware, being a man who loved the Word, agreed. He, Mrs. Glenda (his wife), and the members who had approached him began to meet to discuss the Word of God. At first, there were about four or five people attending. Soon, more people started to attend. Dr. Ware asked the group if they were serious about studying the Word. They all affirmed that they were.
Dr. Ware began looking into offering degrees and before long New Life Bible College and Seminary was established. Over the years, the school has helped many preachers and teachers to further their knowledge of the Word so they can more effectively teach it to their congregations and/or students. As the college has grown, it has also expanded its student base. Now, we have not only preachers and teachers, but we have students that are simply hungry for more of the Word. Everyday people who love their churches and God and who desire to draw closer to Him by understanding His Word better.
The college teaches those who are ready and willing to learn. We do not teach doctrine. We teach the Word of God. Dr. Ware loved studying and meditating on the Word. We are thrilled and honored that we can continue the legacy that Dr. Ware left. We hope to continue to grow and to tell others about the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our greatest hope that we all shall study to show ourselves approved. Our desire is to teach others how to show the world what Jesus looks like, what His love feels like, and how to find redemption in Him and His sin cleansing blood.
Dr. Ware always said, "There are three things you need to do. Love people, love people, love people." We pray that by teaching others about God they will see not only His love for them, but our love for them as we desire for all to be born-again children of the Almighty God.
